Youth 4 Business (Y4B) is seeking volunteer board members who believe in the potential of Haitian youth and who want to help guide and grow a mission-driven organization.

 

About Youth 4 Business:

Youth 4 Business equips young people in southern Haiti with practical entrepreneurial skills so they can build businesses, solve local problems, and strengthen their communities. Our 19-lesson curriculum is facilitated by Haitian educators and leaders and is grounded in Biblical ethics and principles. We are committed to serving alongside others as Jesus would promoting dignity, opportunity, and economic resilience.

 

Why Serve:

Youth 4 Business tackles the root causes of economic stagnation by helping students turn creativity into action. As a board member, you will help expand opportunity for young people in one of the most underserved regions of Haiti and guide an organization with enormous potential for impact.

 

General Responsibilities:

• Encourage and come alongside the Haitian staff through faithful prayer and financial support.

• Cooperate with the other board members to provide governance, strategic direction, and oversight.

• Support fundraising efforts, donor outreach, and network expansion.

• Offer guidance on program development, partnerships, and organizational growth.

• Participate in quarterly virtual board meetings (with optional committee involvement).

• Serve as an ambassador for Youth 4 Business within your professional and personal networks.

• Use your experience and gifts approximately 3-5 hours per month to support the vision and mission of Y4B.

 

Who We Are Looking For:

We welcome applicants with experience in any of the following areas:

• Marketing, communications, or social-media strategy

• Fundraising / development

• Finance or accounting

• Education, youth development, or curriculum designInternational development

• Entrepreneurship or small-business leadership

• Nonprofit governance
